Van Ton-Quinlivan | Board Member

Van Ton-Quinlivan serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Campaign for College Opportunity. Ton-Quinlivan currently chairs the San Mateo County Biotech Workforce Project, where she works with business leaders, educational experts, policy experts, labor representatives and elected officials to align the county’s education institutions with the county’s economic development strategies.

Ton-Quinlivan has served as Associate Director for Heald College’s San Francisco campus and adjunct faculty member for DeAnza College in Cupertino, where she taught courses in business and entrepreneurship. Prior to her involvement in higher education, Ton-Quinlivan was Vice President for Knowledge Universe, a private investor in companies that innovatively apply technology to education and learning. She also held management roles at Digital Island, Pacific Bell and the U.S. Navy.

Ton-Quinlivan received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 1990, her master’s degree in Education Policy as well as an MBA from Stanford University in 1995, and was selected for the International Women’s Forum Executive Training Program at Harvard University in 2000.

In addition to her work with the Campaign for College Opportunity, Ton-Quinlivan serves as an appointee to the San Mateo County Workforce Investment Board, serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Peninsula, serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the School-Force Public Schools Foundation, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for Coro Northern California.
