Marcia Cosgrove | Research and Policy Associate

Marcia Cosgrove serves as the Research and Policy Associate for the Campaign for College Opportunity. She is based in Sacramento.
Prior to joining the Campaign, Cosgrove worked as a Consultant and Research Project Manager for the Applied Research Center at California State University, Sacramento. She has also worked for the Sacramento Regional Research Institute as a Research Analyst. Most broadly her research experience includes economic and demographic profiles, assessment of the economic and social impacts of development and the workforce, and institutional assessment and performance measurement. In addition to her research experience, Cosgrove has more than 15 years of administrative experience working in diverse industries such as nonprofit social services, particularly healthcare and foster care; banking and finance; original equipment manufacturing; property management; wholesale and retail trade.
Cosgrove received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from California State University, Sacramento, and received the Economics Department’s undergraduate research award for studying the effects of the rate of return to higher education on college enrollment by gender. Cosgrove also holds two associate degrees from Sacramento City College in Social Sciences and Languages and Literature. She has also studied Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
