Welcome to the
2007-2008 Save Me a Spot in College youth scholarship contest!
All Scholarship winners have been announced.

Students who have been nominated for the Grand Prize have already won $1,000 scholarships. Grand Prize winners for each category will win an additional $1,500 in scholarships (totalling $2,500). Students who enter as a group will split their prizes. No one person can win more than one scholarship.

CONTEST QUESTION: Why should California leaders save you and your peers a spot in college?

The Campaign for College Opportunity is a nonprofit organization devoted making sure that the next generation has the chance to go to college.

In 1960 California made a promise that every eligible student will have a spot in community college or university.
The capacity of our public community college and universities is not increasing fast enough.
We need to make sure that you and your peers are prepared for college, informed about financial aid and that the state is prepared to ensure space for you in our community colleges and universities.
