California college graduate has developed a scholarship program which allows every high school graduate the opportunity to attend any California state school, with all financial obstructions diminished.
A California college graduate has invented new technological resources which allow individuals to develop an environment-friendly type of energy to power cars. A California college graduate becomes a doctor, and through many years of extensive research discovers the cure for HIV.
The ideas presented above are similar to hundreds resting in the minds of the high school students of my generation. These ideas are waiting to be coaxed out of the back of the minds of my peers by means of access to a higher knowledge, otherwise titled “college.” Without the opportunity to attend college, the ideas with which my peers and I are bursting with will waste away.
The differences we young adults could have made in our futuristic world will be cut short before they even have a chance to begin. Differences such as eliminating school violence, developing programs to help wipeout poverty, and continuing towards world peace will not have the chance to become a reality. As more and more high school graduates are denied the opportunity to go to college, more and more of their exceptional ideas will diminish.
By saving my peers and I a spot in college, California is giving itself numerous opportunities to produce individuals who will create a bright future shaped by unique ideas. Do not let California’s future rest in the hands of people who were unable to develop to a higher intellectual level. Do not deny our ideas the ability to flourish by shutting us out of college. Do not hinder California’s development by cutting its developers out of a higher education.
Save us a spot in college, and we will save California a spot in a better world.
