You ask why California Leaders should save my peers and me a spot in college, well I ask you why SHOULDN'T California leaders save me and my peers spot in college? Going to college is something that's been important to me for as long as I can remember. My father would always say, “With a good education you can do anything you want.”  As time has passed I have worked hard to do just that. 

I am not the only person that can achieve that. When parents don't succeed they hope, dream, and pray that their kids do. If you save a spot for us in college you can help us fulfill our dreams and theirs. Many students like myself come from families with limited means and resources. That's why going to college can be an issue. Scholarships are often the only way to be able to go.

The youth of America all wait to be somebody, somebody that can make a difference. Receiving a good education is the place to start. We wont to be the next Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Bill Gates, Isaac Newton, and etc.

In order for our world to improve we must keep learning and growing as a society, and for that to happen we must have an intelligent society meaning we all need to go to college and get an education; often we don't go though because we don't have the money, but if we get a scholarship we take advantage and go to college.

For Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Bill Gates and Isaac Newton to come alive again we are going to need an education so we know what they did and how they did it in order for us to gain a greater understanding of their ideas and the knowledge it takes to create/discover and become a great mined.

Why save a spot? To help us, help us believe that with hard work and perseverance a student can be rewarded with the gift and opportunity to attend a college. Where we may grow to become the future leaders we all believed we could be.
