4 Steps to Submit Your Entry!

After finishing your entry(s), read this entire page to turn in your Entry Form online.

Note: Entries that do not have an Entry Form attached to them and that do not follow the following 4 steps will be IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED.

Step #1: Create your entry

  • Finish your entry that addresses one or both of the following contest prompts: (1) Tell California leaders why you and your peers are One in a Million, and (2) Why should California leaders save you and your peers a spot in college? (To meet our state's workforce needs, California needs one million additional college graduates by 2025 and each student who successfully completes college is One in a Million.)
         Read the Written Word Entry Rules
         Read the Poster Entry Rules
         Read the TV Ad Entry Rules
  • Write your full name, school, grade, and a phone number on your entry itself.
  • Make a copy of your entry before you send it to us because we cannot return it to you.

Step #2: Fill out an Entry Form online (below)

  • Once you finish your entry, fill out an Entry Form online (click the red button at the bottom of this page). 
  • If you are submitting a written word entry online, copy and paste it into the space provided on the online Entry Form.
  • After you complete your Entry Form, PRINT a copy of your Entry Form (you must print a copy if you are mailing your entry to us)
  • After printing, click "SUBMIT" to submit your Entry Form. 
  • If you are 12 years old and under (as of March 15, 2010), you must have a parent or legal guardian sign your Entry Form and mail it to us (even if you enter your written word entry online).

Step #3: Attach your Entry Form to your entry

  • Staple or tape your Entry Form to your entry.
  • Each student can only submit ONE Entry Form (even if you are entering more than one category).
  • If you are entering a TV Ad as a group, EACH member in the group must submit their own Entry Form online and also mail a copy with the TV Ad.
  • Entries that do not have an Entry Form attached to them will be disqualified.

Step #4: Mail your entry

  • Mail your entry with your Entry Form attached to:

  • All Entries must be post-marked (mailed) by March 15, 2010. If you are mailing more than one entry, mail them together in one package.
  • If you are only entering the written word category and you submit it online, you do not need to mail anything to our office (unless you are 12 and under).
  • Posters and TV ads MUST be mailed to our office.
  • You may NOT turn in your entry through email. NO EXCEPTIONS.
