What does it mean for the Campaign for College Opportunity to be your Partner
in the “Save Me a Spot in College” scholarship contest?
It means you and your school, organization and/or community believe in these principles:
- We support the promise, made in our 1960 Master Plan for Higher Education, that every student wishing to pursue a college education should have access to a California community college or university.
- We firmly believe that providing college opportunity is critical to the well-being of individuals, families, and the economic and social health of California.
- We are aware that the state faces a growing demand for educated workers.
- We believe in providing young people with an opportunity to promote college participation and speak up regarding an issue affecting their futures.
The Campaign for College Opportunity is prepared to support your organization, school, and/or community in the following ways:
- Help you promote the “Save Me a Spot in College” scholarship contest within your organization, school and/or community by providing attractive materials for you to share during your routine outreach.
- Make sure the 6th – 12th grade students in your classes, schools, or youth groups register and enter the contest!
- Recognize you as a Partner because you are important to our success. We will list your name on the Campaign for College Opportunity’s website and other “Save Me a Spot in College” related materials.
- Let the Campaign for College Opportunity be an educational resource to everyone that visits your website by linking to http://www.collegecampaign.org/contest.
