Rules :: Poster
- All entries must address one or both of the following contest prompts: (1) Tell California leaders why you and your peers are One in a Million, and (2) Why should California leaders save you and your peers a spot in college?" (To meet our state's workforce needs, California needs one million additional college graduates by 2025. Each student who successfully completes college is One in a Million.)
- Each student may submit one entry per category (written word, poster, TV ad).
- Poster entries must be submitted by individuals only - no group entries in this category will be accepted.
- Posters must be on paper that is 11x17 inches.
- Posters must be flat and be able to be folded and rolled. (Posters with 3-D materials or foam-boards will not be accepted.)
- All artwork must be your own original work.
- The back of your poster MUST be clearly labeled with your full name, school name, grade, and phone number (write directly on the poster itself).
- Posters MUST be mailed to our office. You may NOT turn in your poster through email. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- A copy of your Entry Form must be stapled or taped to your poster. You must fill out the Entry Form online and then print a copy of it to mail along with your poster. Posters mailed with no Entry Form will be immediately disqualified.
- You may use any art supplies to make your poster: (this is only a small list, other materials are also accepted) paint, colored or regular pencils, crayons, glitter, original computer graphics, photographs, other non-3-D multi-media items. If you are using chalk or pastels please be sure to spray them with a protective coating.
- If you are 12 years old or younger, you must have your parent or legal guardian sign your Entry Form before mailing it to us.
- Posters will not be returned under any circumstance. We encourage you to either scan or take a photo of your poster if you want to keep a copy of it.
