"Save Me A Spot In College" Rap

I was born with a family,

Who had many hard times.

I needed a fresh start,

So I put it in rhyme.

From infant, to toddler,

To me, a young man.

My parents saw me grow,

And announced my plan.

It was the dream of college,

And the things it would bring.

This was huge step,

Not just some fling.

Why save me a spot in college?

You ask me why?

I want to succeed in life,

So I have to try.

I want to push the limits,

Where no one has ever gone before.

That's why college is crucial,

It's so that I can explore

The rest of the world,

To help excel me.

This is my goal,

My lifelong dream.

So please can you help me?

With the money I need?

So I can try harder,

So I can succeed.

Can you flip me a penny?

Can you hand me a dime?

Can you give me some hope?

For some college time.

I promise to be determined,

I promise to try.

I promise to treasure college,

And not let it fly by.

I promise to never quit,

To never give up.

My grades will be sky high.

And they'll never slip up.

College is a luxury

That I have to earn,

All I have to do

Is learn, learn, learn.

I know it'll be hard,

I know it'll be rough.

I know it'll be difficult,

I know it'll be tough.

So I know I can't slack,

I can never groan.

I can never pout,

And I'll never moan.

I'll never stop,

I'll never rest.

I'll soar above everyone,

And I'll always be the best.

Because the future is coming,

Which grew from my past.

The future is me,

And I'll make it last.
