Parents today know how important it is for their kids to get a good education and to be prepared for college. Not every student has to go to college to be successful, but all our children deserve the opportunity to pursue a college education. In today’s economy, more than ever, a college education leads to better jobs and better possibilities for the future.

If your child, grandchild, or family member is currently enrolled in an elementary, middle or high school in California, that child could be one of those 1.8 million students potentially turned away from a California college or university within the next 10 years.

That’s why the Campaign for College Opportunity wants to work with parents and families, like you, to make sure that there are spaces available in higher education for our children. We have begun working with parent groups, based in communities or in schools around the state. We welcome you to contact us, whether to get involved as an individual or to involve a local parent group in your community in this Campaign.

The Campaign for College Opportunity is a voice for Californians to ensure access to college for this next generation of students. We have college-counseling resources online, and offer opportunities for parents to get involved. You an also check out a partial list of the Campaign’s endorsers and find out how you can endorse our efforts as well.
